Off-page is very different from on-page. I went through almost all the points and they does make sense, I must say. You talked about Infographics again and I loved that section personally.
Broken link building, It’s something I suck at. And I wonder if it converts well for intermediate bloggers.
However, I loved the whole elements but I think another important aspect of off-page SEO, which is kinda important, and It’s World-of-mouth-marketing.

I must read at least 10 marketing related articles every day, but most of the time I just skim over them but I have to say that this is one of the few articles that I have read word for word, all the way through.

I came up with a link building technique that generated 100+ quality related links and got my clients site ranking at the No.1 spot for many money keywords and first page for loads of long-tail phrases. Being related to this article, I thought I would share it with you.

It all started when I was having my usual monthly update call with one of my clients. We was going through everything we had done that month and the results it had secured. We also discussed the plan for the following month; when out of the blue my client said – "Oh, by the way I’ve heard that [competitor] is closing down". This gave me an idea! As soon as I came off the phone, I did a little research of my own to confirm that this competitor was actually closing down. It was true.

I then had a chat with my team and asked them to go through every backlink of this certain competitor and create a list of all their quality related backlinks.

We then started to manually reach out to every one of these linking sites to notify them that [competitor] was closing down (pointing them to the proof) and suggesting that they replace their link with our clients site.

Now, not every site we reached out to changed the link but I have to state that around 65% did. This was a fantastic result.

I am keen to hear if you have heard of anyone else using this link building technique.

This info has proven to be a solid SEO base for me, as you have tapped those things I was unaware of, so far….

I think you may be confused here. Google have said they’d use URL’s without a hyperlink for discovery, but never that they’d flow page rank through them (quite the opposite) and how do you imagine ‘brand’ (or entity) mentions could accurately and fairly be used as a signal? In an otherwise quite informative piece, this first paragraph goes against everything we know from Google and have observed through experimentation.

Please could you point your readers to the evidence?

That Moz article you are linking with the anchor text: "off-page SEO with link building" is outdated garbage. Moz maybe an authoritative site for SEO but that post shouldn’t rank in the SERPs at all. Anyone following that advice is going to get penalized.

I was wondering if placing the keyword at the beginning of the title can help one get better search engine ranking why you did not use the keyword Off page SEO at the beginning of the title this article. I guess it could have helped you achieve better search engine ranking.

I am beginner in SEO, want to know, what is off-page SEO techniques?

I’m not a SEO expert. I mostly read the blog post from this blog and implement it for my website. I had read this article long ago. Our main business keyword is now ranking on the first page. We did few quality backlinks and it worked for us. The traffic is not increased like a rocket but the conversion is good compared to what we were getting. Less traffic but quality traffic.

Awesome tips Neil. I hope these are the best off page seo activities to gain quality traffic. Please write more on useful off page practices.
